Anyone who knows me knows I love a good brow. From big, brushed up and wolfy runway brows, to elegant and defined brows and everything in between. I've said it before and I'll say it again, a well groomed set of brows will take 5-10 years off your face - easy. Plus they add definition, help sculpt your cheekbones and bring out your eyes. So whether you're aiming for an ombre brow or just want a more classic definition, this week I've tested out a few of the brow products from Ardell.
Deluxe Pack
Although obviously not brows, lashes and brows go hand in hand and their extensive range of lashes is what Ardell is extremely well known for, so I thought it fair to include these as well. I tried the deluxe pack which includes: a twin set of Ardell false eyelashes, DUO adhesive and a new soft-touch lash applicator. The lashes are beautifully soft and manoeuvrable which is important when applying falsies. You should always cut strip lashes to fit your lash line as usually there’ll be some excess unless you’re blessed with beautifully big eyes. Always make sure you allow the glue to dry for 60 seconds first before applying the lashes so they adhere immediately.
Brow Defining Kit
The ultimate starter kit for brows. A palette of 3 brow shadows and 1 highlighter, so you can mix and blend to create the perfect shade from light to medium/dark brow tones. The highlighter can be applied lightly under the arch of the brows, in the inner corner of the eyes and even the high points of the cheekbones. The spoolie brush is a must have for blending through powder or pencil an softening the overall finish. Finally, the pomade pencil gives natural shine back to the brows without setting them hard in place.
Brow Pomade
Perfect for laying out the shape of your brows and then further defining the other arch of the brow with brow powder on top. You get a really nice clean precise line with the angle brush but you can also use it to feather throughout the brow to create softer definition, and brush the spoolie brush through to soften. Also great on it’s own if you’re into more of a sculpted brow.
Brow Sculpting Gel
Nothing finishes off a perfectly filled in brow better than a brow gel. It sets hairs in place and keeps them there all day. Also great if you have unruly brow hairs or if you don’t want to fill them in but still want a naturally groomed finish to the brows.
